Glass Onion is a blast but richer and more extravagant doesn't necessarily mean better. The twisty plot is more layered and gets a larger playground, but some of the characters weren't as fleshed out as the first. Leslie Odom Jr was sadly wasted, and Daniel Craig's Benoit Blanc seems to have been missing something. Knives Out was a tighter and more balanced film, however it's official that no one does a fun whodunnit better than Rian Johnson.
For all the hype and fuss, I expected more fleshed out characters and a stronger plot. Fun movie and well structured, but felt very paint-by-the-numbers.
